Collective Art Pieces;
Phenomenological experience of the tongue
Stills: HEAT CAMERA. 1.2
Stills taken with a FLIR HEAT Camera. These photographs and video footage from the TV were taken with a heat- sensor camera in order to connect the visual and the sensory. The heat colors give a more extented perception of the body and it's relationship to objects and our surroundings.
Phenomenological experience of the tongue:
Clay Sculpture product: ashtray
Clay sculpture of a tongue before it is painted. The view point is a clay coloured object, representation of a body part. The viewer associates the shape to what it represents.
Clay Sculpture: Painted Tongue ASHTRAY
Painted and detailed representation of a tongue. The tongue is realistically represented and recognized as a body organ which gives a better detailed perception and life to the object.
Adding objects that interact with the art piece creates sensory memory discomfort. The idea of ash or a burning cigarette on a tongue is not familiar yet relatable and uncomfortable to imagine as if it has happened before. This concept is called Phenomenology.
